On January 11, 2016, LUISAVIAROMA opened an exciting conversation on the future of communication in fashion and technology. The leaders shaping the world’s most dynamic industries joined us for a full day of roundtable discussions, lively presentations, and top-class networking opportunities.
LUISAVIAROMA thanks the speakers and guests that made the 2nd edition of the Fashion & Technology Summit a success.
As new social dynamics shift the market landscape, the time has come to rethink communication strategies. Fashion is moving ever faster, while technology is getting closer to our personal and private lives. To understand the changes at play, we brought together the people behind the world’s most influential brands to give us their take on what’s going on, what’s at stake, and what the future holds.
In-depth conversations between the sharpest minds from some of the world’s biggest brands dissected the challenges and opportunities facing fashion and technology today.
Presentations by key influencers took guests on a tour of the insights, projects, and personalities shaping innovation. An insider’s perspective from the professionals at Google, Instagram, Facebook and more offered their unique take on the relationships between global brands and their audience.
The Summit featured many opportunities to expand networks, explore the possibilities, and refresh perspectives while rubbing shoulders with top class executives, entrepreneurs, and emerging talents from around the world.
“Technology is a way for brands to share experiences with their clients. It’s a tool that allows for a dialogue to happen between heritage and the future. Clients want to be involved in the brand’s future and feel part of the dream that the brand represents. This is the desire that technology exists to serve.”

The Fashion & Technology Summit took place at the Palazzina Reale, a monumental expression of 1930s Italian architecture conveniently located at the Florence train station.
Home to the Order of the Architects of Florence, the Palazzina Reale is noted for its minimal design featuring sharp lines, precious materials and the tasteful use of space. During the Summit, visitors had the pleasure of exploring the historic palace and exchanging business cards while sipping on rich Italian espresso.
